The annual Tomato Festival Parade in Reynoldsburgh, Ohio was held on September 8, 2002, and Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the parade. With limited time and manpower, the local practitioners worked together like one body to prepare for the parade. The practitioners demonstrated the exercises and performed Chinese traditional dances to the delight of the audience. Young practitioners played a big role in handing out flyers during the parade.
