On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June, practitioners from north and central England travelled to Manchester to join Wythenshawe Park Festival.

We set-up a ‘gazebo’ shelter with a table of flyers and information. Several large posters were displayed along the pathway so passers-by could take a look and learn about Falun Gong, its popularity in different regions of the world and the terrible persecution in China. We handed out flyers and talked to many friendly local people about the practice and the situation in China.

Throughout the day we demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. On Sunday we had the use of the main stage and sound system. Five practitioners performed the exercises in white silk Chinese suits. Several people sat on the grass and watched the peaceful display. Many young children could be seen imitating the exercises. The sky was blue, the sun was shining and the day went very well.
