Zhang Cuiying Exhibits Paintings in Ireland On April 30, traditional Chinese artist Zhang Cuiying from Australia held her second personal painting exhibition in Cork, the second largest city in Ireland. It was Mrs. Zhang's fourth trip to Ireland. Irish media have extensively reported her ordeals in China. Mrs. Zhang will hold her third painting exhibition in Ireland at Dublin City University on May 1, 2002.
The first group of visitors to see the painting exhibition were students from a local junior high school. It was their first viewing of traditional Chinese art. Mrs. Zhang's extraordinary painting skill, her practitioners' serene and compassionate aura made the young students feel very happy. They observed every painting with detailed attention. Practitioners demonstrated Dafa exercises for the youngsters. Mrs. Zhang introduced them to Chinese painting and her experience of imprisonment in China for appealing for Falun Gong. Zhao Ming, recently released from a Chinese labour camp, explained to the students the relationship of art and moral standard. He also explainded the significance of developing and upgrading the "heart-nature" or "Xinxing" as a person of good will and as a Falun Gong practitioner.
Several reporters from local newspaper interviewed Zhao Ming and Zhang Cuiying. Their experiences of being brutally persecuted by Jiang regime simply because of their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance touched the hearts of reporters and visitors.
The kind people not only appreciated the beauty of Chinese painting, but also enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to know something of the real Dafa, as exemplified by it's practitioners.
