To draw attention to Jiang Zemin's forthcoming visit to Germany and to explain to the public, the seriousness of the present situation in Changchun, north-eastern China, Falun Gong practitioners practiced the exercises in Gustav Adolf’s Square in Gothenburg, Sweden. Many passers-by did not know what Falun Gong is about, although they had heard about the persecution on the news and in the media. This was a great opportunity for practitioners "to fill in the missing gaps", regarding Falun Gong, in people's minds.
