Photoreport: 1,000 Falun Gong Practitioners Gather in Front of United Nations to Call for an End to the Persecution in China March 20, 2002, Geneva -- About 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners from North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and other parts of the world gathered in front of the United Nations Building in Geneva, Switzerland to urgently appeal to the U.N. Doing the righteous thoughts meditation Practitioners peacefully held photographs of those practitioners who are known to have died in China from brutal treatment and tortures for not giving up their practice of Falun Gong. Practitioners also did the Falun Gong exercises and the righteous thoughts meditation. Many people passing by expressed their support.
