On the New Year's Eve, personnel from the Detention Centre of Tonghua County's Police Department abducted over 10 practitioners. The director of the detention centre ordered prisoners to brutally beat up practitioners. They tore off all the clothes from the male practitioners, poured cold water on them and whipped them with leather belts. They kicked and punched the practitioners and injured a practitioner's eyes. They shackled the female practitioners to the pillars and force-fed them.
