The Conference was held over a period of five days. During these five days practitioners gave out leaflets to a large number of attendees. Several practitioners also had the opportunity to speak to many MP’s about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China including Robin Cook MP, Leader of the House of Commons, (former Foreign Secretary) and Dr Dennis McShane MP who had just recently returned from a visit to Beijing. Both MP’s gave positive support, Mr. Cook replied, "I will continue pressing the Chinese Government to stop the persecution and resolve things peacefully" and Dr. Dennis McShane said that he had put increased pressure on the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and condemned China’s human rights violations.
